Sbu Ngwane is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the financial sector. Currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa, he serves as a Global Steering Group Member for the UN Convened Net Zero Asset Owners Alliance at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), a role he has held since 2023. Sbu is also the Group Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Old Mutual Limited, where he has been shaping the strategic direction and sustainability efforts of the company. Prior to this, he served as the Group Chief Strategy Officer at Old Mutual from 2022 to 2023.

 

Sbu Ngwane has a strong academic background, having earned a Master of Science (MS) in Financial Management from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. He further enhanced his expertise by completing a Certificate in Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School in 2022, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA Equivalent) from the University of Cape Town in 2008.

 

With a solid foundation in Financial Reporting, Auditing, Accounting, and Corporate Governance, Sbu brings a wealth of experience in both strategy and financial management to his roles.
