The Africa Sustainable Insurance Summit (ASIS) 2026 is the flagship event of the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance (NDSI) a network of more than 270 members working to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into Africa’s insurance industry.
Building on the success of the 2025 summit, the 2026 edition in Cape Town, South Africa, will bring together leaders from across Africa’s insurance industry ecosystem to explore how environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles can be integrated into the core business of Africa’s risk managers.
Under the overarching theme of “Powering pledge into practice integration of sustainability in the African insurance sector”, this flagship event will offer a platform to galvanise commitments and accelerate actions on sustainable insurance in Africa.
The key objectives of the summit are to build awareness and support for sustainable insurance principles, showcase the shift from intention to implementation and integration of sustainable insurance principles, and create a community of practice and offer spaces for networking among African insurance sector players.
Learn how African insurers are moving from commitment to implementing sustainability in the business. The summit spotlights practical progress, what is working, where challenges remain, and how the industry is closing insurance and
