Sesilia Nkoshi is a dynamic and passionate reinsurance professional with a strong background in financial services. With a BComm Honours in Management Accounting from Stellenbosch University and ongoing studies in insurance, she has built a successful career spanning banking, insurance, and reinsurance. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Regional Director for Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs) Africa, where she leads efforts to enhance the profile of young professionals in the insurance sector across Southern Africa.
Sesilia also serves as the Co-Chair of the ESG Roadmap and Reporting Working Group under the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance (NDSI), where she plays an instrumental role in advancing ESG reporting and developing actionable roadmaps for sustainable insurance practices in Africa.
Since 2017, Sesilia has been with Namib Reinsurance, where she thrives as an underwriter, assessing risks and building strong relationships. With a commitment to mental health, work-life balance, and fostering a high-performance culture, Sesilia is deeply passionate about making a positive impact both in her profession and in her community.
