Kunle Ahmed is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AXA Mansard Insurance Plc and the current Chairman of the Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA). His experience spans over three decades leading strategic roles and business functions across the aviation, energy, logistics, manufacturing, oil and gas, public sector, and financial services sectors.
A distinguished graduate of the University of Ilorin and the University of Lagos, Kunle also holds a distinction from the West African Insurance Institute in Banjul, The Gambia.
In 2017, Kunle was appointed Chief Executive Officer of AXA Mansard. His strategic management skills, vision, and passion for the insurance sector in Africa have birthed many leading and sustainable innovations in new products, process improvements, and technology integrations. One such solution is implementing a seamless platform for agent registration – a platform that the Regulator has now adopted.
Kunle is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Administration Nigeria, and a Member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria. An alumnus of IMD Switzerland and Lagos Business School, Kunle currently serves on the boards of several companies and industry associations, including AXA Mansard Health Limited, EMOCOM Computer Services Limited, and the West African Insurance Institute.
