Mulenga Kashiwa is a seasoned insurance professional with 17 years’ experience in short-term insurance. He is currently Senior Manager for Technical Underwriting at Hollard International in South Africa where is tasked with managing the reinsurance treaty programmme for the Hollard Licenses in Botswana, Ghana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia. Provide technical underwriting support for corporate Property for the 6 licenses, and manage relationship with Global partners such as International Retail & reinsurance brokers, reinsurers and strategic partners across the different regions.
Before his current role, he worked in the Zambian Insurance market for over a decade. His last role being Head of Operations for Hollard Insurance Zambia. Before leaving Zambia.
Mulenga also has a passion for teaching and had a stint at Zambia’s second Largest Public University where he was a part-time lecturer in the School of Business, lecturing in Strategic Management.
He is a member of the Insurance Institute of Zambia, the Insurance Institute of South Africa, the Institute of Risk Management South Africa and the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (CII) and holds an MBA in Management strategy from the University of Zambia, a chartered insurer of the CII and certified management practice leader by Henley School of Business.
